The typical home sold for 100.3% of its list price, with a median of 22 days on market, compared with 20.5 last year. More sales included a seller concession: 15% compared with 14%.
For context, from April through June the median single-family sale was $555,000, and 59% of homes sold over asking.
Right now, as of September 29: 22 single-family homes are for sale and another 17 are under agreement. That's roughly 1.7 months of supply, still a seller's market. Seven of the 22 active listings have already cut their price, and new listings were down 16.7% this summer.
Condominiums
Bellingham's condo market is small: 13 condos sold this summer compared with 7 last summer. That's too few to read a reliable price trend. Today there are 14 condos for sale and 8 under agreement.
What it means if you own in Bellingham
Bellingham's median price rose this summer, and most homes still sold over asking. Pricing right from day one still matters. Townwide numbers can't tell you what your home is worth. Your street, your updates and your timing all move the number.
